Your Lip Lift Experience

During lip lift surgery, calipers are used before and during surgery to ensure that asymmetries are corrected and to make measurements that are exact down to the millimeter. Our surgeons utilize small incisions just under your nose so that the scar hides within the natural creases and shadows between the nose and the upper lip. Our surgeons work incredibly hard to ensure that incisions are as minimal as possible and that they will be difficult to notice once your healing process is complete.

This incision will enable your surgeon to expertly lift and reposition your lip tissues, resolving any sagging or drooping that may be impacting your appearance while also smoothing over fine lines and wrinkles. Our surgeons utilize the deep plane technique under the SMAS layer, to resuspend the upper lip in the most natural way possible.

Once this work is complete, your surgeon will carefully close your incisions, and you’ll be ready to spend some time in our recovery area before returning home on the same day. The entire process takes about one hour to complete and can be done under local anesthesia in the office. The Recovery Process

We’ll be sure to provide you with detailed aftercare instructions in advance of your surgery, ensuring that you have everything you need to stay comfortable as you rest, recover, and look forward to your final results. You’ll experience some swelling and mild discomfort after your procedure. A mask can be helpful during the first week when resuming normal daily activities outside of the home. Sutures are removed 5-7 days after surgery. After about one to two weeks, you’ll notice that the swelling and bruising have completely subsided, and you’ll be able to return to your normal activities.
