Drooping brows can make a person look fatigued or aged. A brow lift restores these features to their original position, creating a more rested and youthful appearance. The procedure is commonly performed in combination with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty to address multiple aesthetic concerns in the same surgical session, and we’ll be excited to work closely with you to craft a bespoke treatment plan that is directly tailored to your needs. Double board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Porter brings more than 25 years of experience and will utilize a keenly developed aesthetic eye to ensure that you enjoy an ideal sense of facial harmony. If you are a good candidate for either a brow lift or temporal brow “mini” lift, we will also talk with you about combining the procedure with blepharoplasty or a facelift to achieve your desired outcome. In an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, we will remove excess skin and fat to create a more alert and open appearance. A facelift will focus on excess skin, skin laxity, and jowling in the lower face and neck to return a firm and youthful aesthetic.
Along with these surgeries, our doctors may also recommend that you have BOTOX® prior to your surgery. These injections can minimize the pull of brow muscles during the healing process, which can improve your results.
Our surgeons perform brow lift procedures on an outpatient basis.
A temporal brow lift can be performed in under an hour, whereas a traditional brow lift can take anywhere from one to two hours, during which time:
Can a brow lift eliminate the “angry look” on my face?
Where are the incisions made when getting a brow lift?
Yes, it is entirely possible for a brow lift to improve the angry appearance on a person’s face. As a person ages, creases begin to form along the forehead and between the brows. The look is exacerbated when a person smiles or frowns.
For patients who are uncertain if a brow lift can benefit them, Dr. Porter offers a consultation to talk about the desired results and whether they can be achieved.
The location of your brow lift incisions will depend upon the type of brow lift performed. There are three main types of brow lifts that provide slightly different results depending on what the patient is looking to achieve:
